2 Tropical Cyclone Seeds Detected in the Sea Near RI, Prepare for the Impact

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) detected two
tropical cyclone seeds
, 93W and 91S, in waters near Indonesia.Check out the impact

Cyclone seeds are the initial phase of tropical cyclone formation with wind speeds of 15-34 knots.If atmospheric conditions are favorable, this seed will grow into a tropical cyclone with wind speeds of 34 knots or more and become increasingly organized to form a storm structure.

According to BMKG, Tropical Cyclone Seed 93W formed on November 28 2025 in the North Pacific Ocean or northeast of Papua Island.
“Currently the circulation center has been detected around the Samar Islands, Philippines north of North Sulawesi, with a maximum wind speed of around 20 knots (37 km/h) and a minimum air pressure of 1005 hPa,” said BMKG, in an upload on Instagram, Sunday (7/12).
“The potential for Tropical Cyclone Seed 93W to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24-72 hours is in the low category,” continued BMKG.
According to BMKG, these tropical cyclone seeds have an indirect impact on extreme weather conditions and waters in Indonesia.
Tropical Cyclone Seed 93W is said to trigger rain with moderate to heavy intensity in the North Kalimantan and North Sulawesi regions.Then, this tropical cyclone seed is also predicted to trigger high sea waves of between 1.25 meters to 2.5 meters in the waters of the Talaud Islands, northern Raja Ampat waters, and the Pacific Ocean north of Maluku to Southwest Papua.
BMKG also detected the emergence of Tropical Cyclone Seed 91S which formed on Sunday (7/12) in the Indian Ocean southwest of Lampung.According to BMKG, this cyclone seed has a maximum wind speed of around 15 knots (28 km/hour) and a minimum air pressure of 1010 hPa.
“The potential for Tropical Cyclone Seed 91S to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24-72 hours is in the low category,” said BMKG.
These tropical cyclone seeds also have an indirect impact on the weather in Indonesia.BMKG predicts that rain with moderate to heavy intensity has the potential to occur in Bengkulu and Lampung due to the seeds of this tropical cyclone.
Then, BMKG also predicted high sea waves of between 1.25 to 2.5 meters in the Indian Ocean west of Aceh to Lampung, waters west of Lampung, and the Indian Ocean south of Java.
