At the end of 2025 this feels extreme.In fact, the Saudi National Meteorological Center (NCM) predicts there will be more snow in areas north of the capital Riyadh.
Parts of Arabia that are known to be dry have finally become a winter landscape in a country with four seasons.
One of them is the mountain or Jabal Al-Lawz, whose peak area went viral because it was covered in snow in the middle of last week.Apart from that, snow has also fallen in Tabuk City.

The city of Tabuk is located in northwestern Saudi Arabia–near the Jordanian border–known as the “Northern Gate” of the Arabian Peninsula.The Jabal Lawz area in the Tabuk region experienced heavy snowfall on Wednesday (17/12).
Jabal Al-Lawz means mountain of almonds.This mountain is located 2580 meters above sea level.Famous for its annual snowdrifts, Jabal Al-Lawz presents stunning winter views, and captivates both residents and visitors.

, NCM previously reported that snowfall occurred in several parts of Saudi Arabia, such as in the highlands, namely Tabuk and Hail.
Snow in Arabia is said to have occurred due to low pressure weather that swept across the Middle East.
This situation brings humidity and cold air together, so it can influence snowfall in high-altitude desert areas.

, an astronomer from the Taif Astronomical Sundial and member of the Arab Union for Space and Astronomy Science, Mohammed bin Reddah Al Thaqafi, said snowfall events are not unusual during the winter months.
Meteorologists say this kind of [snowfall] pattern is common during seasonal transitions, especially in winter.when the central, northern, western and southwest regions often experience fluctuating conditions.
