This privacy feature works by disguising online indicators that usually appear when a user is actively using WhatsApp.

This feature is available on Android and iOS devices.
Even though other people can’t see you’re online, you can still send messages, read chats, and use WhatsApp as usual.
Users can also choose who is allowed to see their online status.
The options given are everyone, my contacts, my contacts with exceptions, or no one.
Here are easy steps to hide WhatsApp online status:
1. Open the WhatsApp application on your Android phone or iPhone.
2. Tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner (Android) or open Settings (iOS).
3. Go to Settings.
4. Select Account.
5. Enter the Privacy menu.
6. Tap Last Seen and Online.
7. In the Last Seen section, select Nobody.
8. In the Online section, select Same as Last Seen.
With this setting, WhatsApp no longer displays online status to other users, providing greater privacy space for you.
Make sure the WhatsApp application has been updated to the latest version, because the Last Seen and Online menu may not appear in applications that have not been updated.
