Indonesian students won 2nd and 3rd places at the event
Teknofest 2025
, International Technology Competition which took place in Atatürk Havalimanı, Istanbul, Türkiye from 17-21 September 2025.
The winner of the 2nd place is the Indovie team which is a collaboration of Indonesian and Vietnam students.The team won in the Psycholoojpe Teknolojik Uygulamasi category (Technological Application in Psychology).
They developed smartwatch applications that are integrated with the Websocket server, able to detect the user’s panic conditions through the body’s physiological data, then provide interventions in the form of sedative vibrations to help users control their psychological conditions.

“We have to go through a tight selection, starting from the preliminary selection which includes a brief explanation of the project, presentation of the problem, novelty (novelty), methodology, presentation, to the development of prototypes intensively. In the final, all the hard work paid off,” said Adhilla Salsabila Putri Artha, one of the members of this team in a statement, Sunday (9/21).
Adhilla said time management was the biggest challenge in the work on their project.
Besides Indovie, the other two teams won the 3rd place were the Garuda AI team and the Creator Team.Art.
The Garuda AI team consisting of Indonesian students at various Turkish universities won 3rd place in the agentic AI Turkish Large Language Model Competition competition.
The team was led by Muhammad Abdan Syakura (Ankara University), along with three members, namely Hasri Akbar Awal Rozaq (Gazi University), Darmawan Wicaksono (Social Science University of Ankara), and Ammar Abdurrauf (Istanbul Technical University).
In the Public Technologies category, Garuda AI developed the Halka application which stands for Halk Analizi Ve Katılım Ajanı or Agent of Analysis and Public Participation.
This application is said to be able to collect public opinion, analyze public sentiment, and compile, gather public opinion, analyze public sentiments, and compile data -based input to support transparent and participatory policies.
Halka innovation is considered superior because it has a high social relevance, technological innovation through the integration of retrieval-algmented generation (RAG) and the Context Protocol (MCP) model, cross-sectoral flexibility, and practical impacts on government and society.
“This trip is full of challenges, ranging from supercomputer technical to cross -country coordination. But all paid off when the name Garuda AI was announced at Podium Teknopest,” Abdan said.
Meanwhile, the Creator Team from Indonesia consists of Muhammad Noufal Rizka Ibrahim, Ananda Fadian Arumdapta, and Bilal Alfa Guldi from Bartin University.They won 3rd place in the Nsosyal Super App Creathon Yarışması category.
Their work is a Super App with a focus on the UI/UX design that integrates many modules in one application, ranging from transportation, shopping, food, short messages, digital payments, social media, and others.
They also include the concept of social commerce, where users can see products through reviews from other users and buy directly without changing applications.
The team faces challenges in terms of time because the new competition category is announced a few weeks before the registration limit.
In a short time, they need to prepare CVs, portfolios, userflows, to short essays.After qualifying for the final, they were given about 36 hours (hackathon format) to make prototypes on the spot, while maintaining the quality of design and work structure.
“For 36 hours we only focused on working on the project, including eating and resting in the place provided by the committee,” explained Noufal.
The achievement at Teknofest 2025 shows the capacity of Indonesian students in answering global challenges through technological innovation, both through mental health applications, AI -based public participation systems, as well as integrated Super App Design.
All of these works show creativity, adaptation, and intellectual quality of the nation’s young generation.This achievement not only brought Indonesia’s good name in the international event, but also proof that Indonesian students were ready to compete and contribute to the development of world technology.
