According to Meta, WhatsApp detects and blocks more than 6.8 million accounts related to fraud centers, mostly in Southeast Asia.
“Armed with the results of internal investigations and collaboration with law enforcement, these accounts were successfully stopped proactively before they were used by the perpetrators to carry out their fraud,” WhatsApp said in his official statement.

WhatsApp also has just launched a new feature to protect its users from online fraud experiments.

WhatsApp now also presents a variety of protection features, such as context cards, ease of blocking and reporting suspicious messages, features for unknown caller, and privacy settings that give control users to anyone who can add me to the group.
