This delay report was conveyed by The Information, which stated that Apple initially planned to announce a new iPhone Air next fall, with a lighter design and a larger battery capacity than this year’s model.
The new cellphone will also be equipped with a vapor chamber, like the iPhone 17 Pro this year.
Reporting from The Verge, without the second generation iPhone Air, Apple’s iPhone lineup in fall 2026 will apparently consist of the iPhone 18 Pro and its foldable iPhone, while the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18E will launch in spring 2027.
According to one of The Information’s sources, Apple may also launch the iPhone Air in spring 2027.
The iPhone Air’s journey itself was not smooth.The new iPhone Air became available for pre-order in China in October, after local telecom operators gained regulatory approval for eSIM services.
For information, the iPhone Air has a titanium frame and a body with a thickness of only 5.6 millimeters.The engine relies on the A19 Pro chipset which is usually only found in the Pro variant.
The screen measures 6.5 inches Super Retina XDR with ProMotion 120Hz, and reaches a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
The iPhone Air only has one rear camera, a 48 MP Fusion.However, Apple claims this camera has the flexibility of four lenses in one device.
In Indonesia, the iPhone Air is priced starting from IDR 21,249 million.
