Terra Drones
opened their voices after a fire hit their office building in Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta (Jakpus) on Tuesday (9/12) afternoon and killed 22 people.
“We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims who died and pray that their souls rest in peace. We also sincerely hope that the injured victims can make a full recovery soon,” Terra Drone said in a filing to the Tokyo Stock Exchange, quoted from

They added that the number of victims and the damage caused were still under investigation.

Terra Drone also apologized to all parties affected by the incident.
“We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused to many parties, including local residents,” the company said.
Terra Drone shares in Tokyo fell 9 percent on Wednesday (10/12) compared to the closing price on Tuesday (9/12) after the incident.
According to the company’s announcement, the fire occurred on Tuesday (9/12) midday at the Terra Drone Indonesia office in Central Jakarta.This fire was likely caused by a battery fire.
“Flame from the battery is considered as one possible cause,” the company said.
Terra Drone added that details such as the battery’s country of origin are still under investigation.
A fire broke out at the Terra Drone Building located in Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta (Jakpus) on Tuesday (9/12) afternoon.The fire is thought to have started from a drone battery that caught fire on the 1st floor of the building.
“From the information above, it’s only temporary because the battery, yes, the battery from the drone caught fire. However, because of the fire, currently the laboratory team is still working,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters.
The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded a total of 76 victims in the incident.Of that number, 54 victims survived and 22 victims died.

Terra Drone plans to expand its drone services for social infrastructure and disaster prevention across its markets.
