) Arif Satria, who was recently appointed, expressed his commitment to strengthening collaborative synergies with
Danantara
for national economic development.
“Indeed, I have communicated with the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology and also with the Deputy Minister. God willing, we will immediately coordinate on the synergy pattern between BRIN, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and Danantara,” he said in an official statement after the Handover of Positions at the BRIN Office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (11/11).

According to him, these three institutions have strategic and complementary roles.Danantara, which is a development driving institution, has an important value in connecting research results to Indonesia’s economic needs.
“I think these three institutions must have strong strength, because Danantara is one of the agents of development in Indonesia which has been trusted by the President to strengthen our economic structure,” he said.
He emphasized that research carried out by BRIN in the future could have a real impact, especially by producing innovations that have added value to the national economy, including those carried out through Danantara.
Arif also touched on the potential for research funding from Danantara.
“From the APBN, some from Danantara, some from international funds. In fact, there are also a lot of international funds whose potential we can explore to become an alternative source of research funding,” he said.
This synergy with Danantara is part of BRIN’s grand strategy to encourage research that has a direct impact on the food, energy, environment and health sectors.These areas are the focus of national policy under the direction of the President.
