Tropical Cyclone Bakung
and Tropical Cyclone Seed 93S is moving away from Indonesian territory.However, indirect impacts are still being experienced in a number of areas, ranging from heavy rain, strong winds, to high waves.
BMKG analysis stated that Tropical Cyclone Bakung as of Wednesday (17/12) at 19.00 WIB was in the Indian Ocean southwest of Lampung.

The maximum wind speed of this tropical cyclone is expected to decrease within 24 hours to the Low category, with a direction moving to the northwest at a speed of 5 knots (9 km per hour).
This tropical cyclone still has an indirect impact on several areas.However, the impact of heavy rain and strong winds is no longer there.
This tropical cyclone has the potential to cause high sea waves of 1.25-2.5 meters in the Indian Ocean west of the Mentawai Islands to Lampung and the southern part of the Sunda Strait.
Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Seed 93S, which began to form on December 11, is currently located in the Indian Ocean south of East Java.Maximum wind speed of 35 knots (65 km/h) with minimum pressure of 999 hPa.
BMKG estimates that this tropical cyclone seed has a medium to high chance of becoming a Tropical Cyclone in the next 24 hours.This cyclone seed is expected to move south-southwest.
This cyclone seed has the potential to trigger moderate to heavy rain in several areas.Here’s the list:
– Central Java
– IN Yogyakarta
– East Java
– Bali
– Southern part of West Nusa Tenggara
– Western part of East Nusa Tenggara
Then, these cyclone seeds also have the potential to cause strong winds on the southern coast of West Java to Bali, as well as high sea waves in the Indian Ocean south of Banten to Sumba Island.
In the eastern region, Tropical Cyclone Seed 95S is currently positioned around the Arafura Sea area south of the Aru Islands, Maluku and is predicted to move southeast.
This tropical cyclone seed system is said to have a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.
95S has the potential to trigger moderate to heavy rain in South Papua;rain with heavy to very heavy intensity in southern – southeastern Maluku.
Apart from that, this low pressure system also has the potential to cause strong winds in southeastern Maluku, as well as high sea waves in the Banda Sea, the waters of the Kai Islands and Aru Islands, and the Arafura Sea.
