The maximum wind speed around the center of the system reaches 15 knots or around 28 kilometers per hour, with a minimum pressure of around 1006 hPa.
“The potential for Tropical Cyclone Seed 95S to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours is also in the low category,” explained the BMKG, in its upload on Instagram, Monday (15/12).
However, the existence of this system still has an indirect impact on weather and water conditions in a number of regions in eastern Indonesia. The predicted weather impacts include moderate to heavy rain in the South Papua region.
Meanwhile, the Southeast Maluku region has the potential to experience heavy to very heavy rain which could increase the risk of local inundation or flooding.
Apart from rain, Tropical Cyclone Seed 95S also has the potential to trigger high sea waves with a height of around 1.25 to 2.5 meters or the moderate sea category.
This condition is expected to occur in the waters of the Arafuru Sea and the southern Indian Ocean of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), so coastal communities and shipping service users are advised to increase vigilance.
Apart from that, BMKG is also still monitoring two tropical cyclone seeds, 92S and 93S, as well as Tropical Cyclone Bakung which is active in waters near Indonesia.According to BMKG, this system will have an indirect impact on extreme weather and water conditions in Indonesia in the next 24 hours.
BMKG said Tropical Cyclone Bakung grew from Tropical Cyclone Seed 91S since December 12 at 19.00 WIB.Currently its position is around 9.9 degrees South Latitude 92.4 degrees East Longitude around the Indian Ocean southwest of Lampung.BMKG revealed that the maximum wind speed around the system reached 60 knots (110 km/h) and the minimum air pressure was 984 hPa.
BMKG predicts that the maximum wind speed of Tropical Cyclone Bakung will decrease in intensity in the next 24 hours, but will still be in category 2 with movement in the southwest direction away from Indonesian territory.
Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Seed 93S began to form on December 11 2025. Currently its position is at 13.0 degrees South Latitude 112.5 East Longitude around the Indian Ocean south of East Java with a maximum wind speed of around 15 knots (28 km/hour) with a minimum pressure of around 1007 hPa.
“Potential Tropical Cyclone Seed 93S has a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours,” said BMKG.
Furthermore, Tropical Cyclone Seed 92S began to form on December 10.BMKG said that currently the system is at 4.4 degrees South Latitude 91.7 degrees East Longitude around the Indian Ocean west of Bengkulu with a maximum wind speed of 15 knots (28 km/hour) with a minimum pressure of around 1008 hPa.
BMKG predicts Tropical Cyclone Seed 92S has a low chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.
