Meta’s conversation platform even outperforms several other social media such as YouTube and TikTok
Quoted from various sources, here are some useful WhatsApp features that few people know about:
1. Send message without saving number
The cellphone number becomes the identity in communication on WhatsApp.To send a message, users usually need to save the number of the person they are talking to first.
However, there are ways you can still send messages without saving the number.
You just need to open your browser and enter the following link https://wa.me/
For the record, the person you are talking to’s cell phone number must be entered in international format without including the plus symbol (+).
2. Make stickers
The Sticker feature is present in WhatsApp to make chats even more lively.Previously, sticker creation needed to be done in a third-party application.
Now, WhatsApp provides a feature to create stickers directly in the WhatsApp application.
You only need to open the sticker column in the chat section > select create > select the photo you want to make into a sticker > edit as desired.
3. Pin messages
Intense communication on WhatsApp often makes it difficult for users to find important messages.WhatsApp provides a feature to pin or mark the message.
You just need to long press on the message you want to flag. You can also choose the pin duration between 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
Pins can not only be used for messages, but also for chat rooms. The mechanism for assigning pins in chat rooms is not much different from pinning for messages.
4. Chat Lock
You can save sensitive chats separately with the Chat Lock feature. You just need to long press on the chat room > options menu > Chat Lock.
Chats that are locked with this feature can be accessed in the Chat Lock column at the top.To access it, WhatsApp will ask for verification, either by fingerprint or Face ID.
5. Use two accounts on 1 cellphone
WhatsApp also allows users to use two accounts in one application. This is useful for separating personal and work needs.
Previously, users often circumvented this need by using the WhatsApp Business application or using two cellphones.
However, the presence of this feature makes using two WhatsApp accounts easier.
Adding an account to the WhatsApp application can be done in the settings section and then click on the arrow next to our profile.
From here, users only need to sign in as usual.
6. Send account number
WhatsApp recently also released a feature that allows users to send account numbers to the person they are talking to.
This feature is available in the WhatsApp Business application in stages over the next few weeks.
Users usually send account numbers by copying and pasting them or making them into stickers.
Now, account numbers can be sent by simply clicking the clip icon > select Account details > Send.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available for WhatsApp Business users, because its presence is to accommodate transaction needs between sellers and their customers.
