re-released the About feature which allows users to write short texts like Instagram Notes.
The About feature is not new to WhatsApp.Users have used it to note whether they’re available for text or call, or to let people know when they’re on leave and slow to respond.
Now, a WhatsApp update means this feature will appear near the user’s profile photo so that the person they are talking to will not miss this information.The person you are talking to can also directly reply to the About text written by the user.

Users can set how long the About status will be posted on their profile, starting from 1 hour, 8 hours, 1 day, 1 week or as long as the user wants.
“Today we reintroduced and updated the “About” page, making it more visible, more relevant and easier to use,” wrote WhatsApp on its blog page, Thursday (20/11).
“For those days when you’re free for a moment but busy the next, About can tell others why you can’t talk or what you want to talk about with just an emoji and a short sentence,” he added.
WhatsApp said About was their first feature when it was launched.This feature even existed before WhatsApp was known as an instant messaging platform with end-to-end security and encryption.
About can be seen in chat rooms and on user profiles.The person you are talking to can reply directly to the About status just by clicking on the status.
Like other public features, users can control who can see the About status.Users can choose between everyone, only contacts, only contacts with exceptions, or no one.
Here’s how to write a status in About:
1. Open the WhatsApp application
2. Click Settings
3. Click your profile
4. Click the About column and write your message
5. Select the message duration
6. Click Save
The WhatsApp About feature is similar to the Instagram Notes feature.The difference is, the Instagram Notes feature can be seen in the Direct Messages column and does not appear in the chat room.
