Komdigi also welcomes platform X’s intention to fulfill its obligation to pay administrative fines.
“This step is a form of Electronic System Operator (PSE) compliance with applicable regulations, in order to keep Indonesia’s digital space safe, healthy and productive,” said Alex.
Alex said that all administrative fines had been processed through official mechanisms and deposited directly into the state treasury which was managed by the Ministry of Finance, in accordance with statutory provisions.
“Enforcement of regulations on digital platforms, both locally and globally, is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to protect Indonesian people, especially children and vulnerable groups, from exposure to dangerous content in digital spaces,” he said.
Furthermore, Komdigi appreciates the commitment of all parties involved in this process and urges all digital platforms to continue to improve compliance with content moderation obligations.
